]Task 8 - Post-production techniques and processes P5 (U3): Carry out post-production techniques and processes to produce a final original media product in line to the client brief

 Front cover creation

First I started by creating the setup for the front cover, and by making sure that the dimensions of the page are set up correctly.

Once I got the dimensions set up I started on getting my image I edited on photoshop into the position I wanted it to be in.

After I did this  added my headline above my image in the correct font and colour that I believed for fit well.

Then I began to add cover lines to my front cover. I used many different fonts and sizes before I chose the final look.

After this I added my puff to the magazine. once again I used many different shaped and font styles before I chose the final circle shape for the puff.

I then added the barcode to my magazine, as well as the issue date, price and issue number to make sure the magazine was almost complete.

After adding the backed I added my background colour. I decided that the two colours fading into each other was appropriate and looked good on my magazine

Final cover

Double page spread creation

I first started by setting up the double page with the correct dimensions and pages. I also added the correct amount of columns to the page.

I then added the main image to the double page on the left hand side far column after deciding which column I thought it would look best in.

After this I added the text and the questions into my double page spread, I decided to use the same text as my headline for the questions. After that I added the headline to the spread and once again got the placement for that. As well as this I added my pull quote so it was in place already. I also used the same font as the headline for the pull quote

After I got the placement of the headline and my image completed I added a background to my magazine. I looked at using many different colours however chose a blue as it didn't clash with my image and looked good ands suitable.

After that was completed I thought of what conventions I had to add, so I added the page numbers and magazine title to the page for the consumers to see.

Target audience review

My Magazine will appeal to my target audience because it matches everything which that I wanted it to. My colour scheme is vibrant and attractive which I wanted it to be. The colour of my front cover contrast well with each other like I wanted to, and create an eye catching front cover which will stand out to other magazines in shops and which will appeal to my target audience.

My double page spread also matches the brightness and positiveness that pop music gives off. the colour scheme and fonts on the double page spread where exactly what I was looking for and will be appropriate for my target audience

Both my front cover and double page spread appeal to my target audience, this is because they match up to the connotations that are put with the genre of pop. I did this by having a bright and vibrant colour scheme. My model also wore appropriate clothing to match the pop genre.

Improvements

An improvement I would make for my double page spread it that I would have a more textured background. Right now it is just a plain solid colour therefore the textured background would be a bit more appealing.

Another improvement I would make is by having my image in the centre of my page and wrapping the text around it. This may make my magazine better as the image is right there when you open the page and not off to the left hand side.

One more improvement I would make is by adding a link or qr code to the social media and website for my magazine. A requirement was to have a website and social media page therefore by having the links on the magazine it would be useful for the consumers to have this or they won't be able to find or access the pages otherwise.
